Spring Game

Because in our house, there is no such thing as too much football.

The Beavers held a ticketed spring game yesterday to catch a glimpse of what's to come in August.

For me, it was actually a great opportunity to test Cameron's stadium tolerance level, which I'm sad to report remains at No Chance In Hell of sitting through an entire game this fall.

But the bookstore was open, so we went shopping.

Not all was lost.

And then, because Beaver Football Games more often than not coincide with Courtney's gymnastics meets, she had her final meet as a level 6 today (Sunday) in Eugene. It was Oregon State Sectionals and as if to prove it's time for her to go to level 7 already, she won first place in all four events and the All-Around. She smoked the competition, beating the second place finisher by more than a full point.

Fish On

What Jeromy got for his birthday this year:

Cameron caught his first fish last weekend while we were on our annual McKenzie River birthday celebration. Each year we try a different resort, and this year's pick not only included a river-front cabin, but a rainbow trout-stocked pond for the kids and adults alike. Not ten minutes after Cam's brand new Superman fishing pole had its line in the water, he had this fish on. He reeled some of it in himself, and then daddy took over.

Isaac at four months, getting ready to battle the elements outside. (It rained much of the weekend)

Group Therapy

So, my friend Kerry has been trying to get me to go to a self-improvement, life-changing seminar that is supposedly chock-full of a-ha moments and is supposed to make you very aware of yourself, down to your very core.

Which is great, I'm sure.

As for me, I really don't have anything going on in my life that a few good girlfriends, three days to ourselves and 19 bottles of wine can't fix.

Seriously.

Tamara: Hello, beauties! You're the Firesteed 2006 Pinot Noir, non? I can't wait to meet up with you again in 18 months. You.... me..... dinner?

Easter 2007

Started with a visit from the Easter Bunny

Shortly after, we joined Les, Kathy, Mark, Charlotte and the girls for a delicious prime rib dinner at the Deschutes River Ranch. It was a picture perfect day.

Thanks, Dad.

For reminding me that the excuse "... well, I've been on vacation..."

has an expiration date.

With Cameron at...

He picked out a kaleidoscope at the gift shop. Wouldn't put it down for *days.*

In the old-fashioned sawmill

Not being a huge fan of nature shows (the phenomenal Planet Earth being a rare exception...) I didn't know that owls could turn their heads 180 degrees. This blew my mind and kept us fascinated for 20 minutes.
