Four in a Row

Oregon State University: 21
Maryland: 14
It was a great game. Gail and Jean made the trip down to San Francisco and are mosey-ing their way home, coming back via the 101 Pacific Coast Highway, during which they'll ring in the new year.
We'll be at Mark and Charlotte's this year, celebrating with a huge prime rib, lots of wine and lots of great company.
Until then, we wish you all the best for the coming weekend and the New Year!

Isaac's First Birthday

Not only did we get to celebrate Jesus' birthday, we got to celebrate Isaac's first birthday as well! Surrounded by close family and with new baby sister Gabriela by his side, we ate more dessert and opened gifts for what seemed like the 35th time.

Christmas Eve 2007

Cookies for Santa (and carrots for the reindeer), writing our letter to Santa to send to the North Pole -- by express mail only-- and we even had a White Christmas this year! Our first in a long time. We're enjoying much of the week off and are looking forward to a great 2008!

Here's the majority of our holiday season.
Hoping yours is as relaxing and wonderful as ours has been!

Christmas Tree 2007

This year, we headed back into the woods to cut our Christmas Tree. After scouting a couple of locations around Black Butte, we headed up towards Hoodoo and got into some spruce trees a few miles off the highway.
My arms, however, still bear the marks of decorating said spruce tree with lights. Despite using gloves, I was still poked up pretty bad. Jeromy says he already can't wait to burn this tree at the end of the season.
I think that's the last of the spruce trees for us.

Cameron got to meet his new baby cousin today.

Word is that they'll be released from the hospital tomorrow

Aaron's First Birthday

Can you all believe this is the little baby who was born a year ago, weighing barely two pounds?
Happy Birthday, Aaron!

The Tickle Me Elmo Extreme, which brought us all much joy

De-Motivation

Thought I would share with everyone the snow that had fallen as of around 9 am this morning at my parents' house--

Even more snow had fallen throughout the day, when in the late afternoon, Mom emailed me a picture of their Christmas Tree

All this activity put me in the Christmas mood too. This, however, is as far as I got:

(and it took me, like, a half hour to find them)

Oh, we have lots of excuses: we're recovering from our celebration of yesterday's Nail Biting Civil War game, where the Beavs pulled it out in double overtime to beat the Ducks on their home turf for the first time since 1993. Couple that with near-freezing temps outside and howling winds with gusts of up to 45 mph and we realized that

hungover people+

galeforce winds+

ladders=

bad things would probably happen.

Cameron has asked me eleventy million times today if we can hang up the lights, but he keeps getting the same answer: next weekend, sweetie.

I hope.
